Confinix Stream Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
Confinix Stream is a personal media streaming application for iOS developed by Confinix. This Privacy Policy explains how Confinix Stream accesses, uses, stores, shares, retains, and deletes information when you use the app, including information from Google Drive when you choose to connect a Google account.
1. Information We Collect or Access
Confinix Stream is designed to keep your information on your device whenever possible. We do not operate servers that store your cloud storage credentials, Google Drive files, or personal media library.
- Cloud storage credentials and access tokens: When you connect Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Koofr, pCloud, or WebDAV, the app stores the credentials or access tokens needed to connect to that service locally on your device.
- Google user data: If you connect Google Drive, Confinix Stream requests access only to the Google Drive files and folders needed for the app features you use. This may include file names, folder names, file metadata, and media file contents that you choose to browse or stream in the app.
- Playback and library metadata: The app may store local playback progress, library paths, and app settings on your device.
- Subscription data: Purchase and subscription status is managed by Apple through the App Store. Confinix Stream uses subscription status only to unlock premium features.
2. How We Use Google User Data
Confinix Stream uses Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing app features. Specifically, when you connect Google Drive, the app uses Google Drive data to:
- show your selected Google Drive files and folders inside the app;
- let you browse your personal media library;
- stream media files that you choose to play;
- remember local app settings such as library paths and playback progress.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, personalized ads, selling to data brokers, determining credit-worthiness, lending purposes, creating unrelated databases, or training artificial intelligence models.
3. How We Store and Protect Data
Google Drive access tokens and other cloud connection details are stored locally on your iOS device using secure iOS storage mechanisms. Communication with Google Drive occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections provided by Google APIs.
Confinix Stream does not store Google user data on Confinix servers. Your media files remain in your Google Drive account or other connected storage provider unless you choose to download or manage them through those providers.
4. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure
We do not sell Google user data. We do not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve Confinix Stream's user-facing functionality, comply with applicable law, or protect users and the app from abuse.
The app may communicate directly with the cloud storage provider you connect, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Koofr, pCloud, or your WebDAV server. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and account settings.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Confinix Stream keeps cloud account connection details, access tokens, playback progress, and app settings locally on your device only for as long as needed to provide app features.
- You can remove a connected cloud account from inside the app.
- You can delete local app data by uninstalling Confinix Stream from your device.
- You can revoke Google Drive access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
Because Confinix Stream does not store Google user data on Confinix servers, removing the connected account, uninstalling the app, or revoking access from your Google Account stops the app from accessing your Google Drive data.
6. Children's Privacy
Confinix Stream is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we materially change how Confinix Stream accesses, uses, stores, shares, retains, or deletes Google user data, we will update this page and notify users where appropriate.
